Clinics using biotin-enhanced PRP typically rely on PRP tubes with pre-mixed biotin to ensure consistent dosing and streamlined preparation.
HOW TO PREPARE PRP – PROCEDURE
How to prepare PRP? Step 1 – DRAW BLOOD
Remove the PRP tube with Biotin from the bag. Wipe top of PRP tube with a clean alcohol swab prior to blood draw. Following accepted blood collection guidelines, draw the patient’s blood into PRP tube from a peripheral location.

How to prepare PRP? Step 2 – INVERT TUBE
• Invert PRP tube(s) 7 (seven) times to mix ACD-A anti-coagulant with the patients’ blood and biotin.
• Wipe the top of the tube with a clean alcohol swab.
• PRP tube with biotin to be processed within six (6) minutes after blood draw.

How to prepare PRP? Step 3 – SPIN PRP TUBE IN CENTRIFUGE
SETTINGS: TEN(10)MINUTES; SPEED 1900 RCF
Power on centrifuge and open up the lid. Place PRP tube(s) into individual tube holders in order to achieve a balanced load within the centrifuge. Place tubes across from each other or use counterbalance, as appropriate. Close the lid.

Once the centrifuge completes its cycle, carefully remove the PRP tube. The tube should now show a clear separation between the red blood cells at the bottom, the platelet-poor plasma at the top, and the platelet-rich plasma in the middle layer.

IMPORTANT NOTE!
Please refer to the centrifuge Instructions for Use for proper usage guidelines. Different sizes of centrifuges operating at the same speed may yield varying results. Therefore, we recommend using a speed of 1900 RCF for 10 minutes to achieve optimal results.
CAUTION: If you have your own Centrifuge, please follow manufacturer’s Instructions for Use for the centrifuge.
a) Centrifuge carriers and inserts should be of the size specific for the tube used.
b) Always allow the centrifuge to come to a complete stop before removing tubes.
c) Counterbalance tubes will be required to balance the weight of the tubes during centrifugation. When using a counterbalance tube, place the balance tube with the same weight as the filled PRP tube, opposite of the PRP tube.
d) Once the centrifugation spin cycle has stopped, open lid of centrifuge and examine tubes for any breakage or leaking prior to use.
How to prepare PRP? Step 4 – PRP EXTRACTION – INVERT TUBE
Remove PRP tube(s) with biotin from centrifuge tube holders. Extract PRP or PPP from the tube depending on your needs and injected to treated areas. As you extract the PRP, the tube naturally mixes the biotin into the plasma, creating a nutrient-rich solution for scalp injection.

CAUTION: Do not insert the needle into the separating gel. If needle comes in contact with the separating gel, discard the product.
• Alcohol swab the top of the PRP tube.
• Invert PRP tube
• Insert sterile syringe to a long needle (e.g. 18Ga x 1.5 inch)
• Insert long needle through the stopper
• Aspirate the PRP into the syringe.
• Once you transfer the PRP into the syringe, it is ready for use.
INTENTION OF USE RP Tube with Biotin
The PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Tube with Biotin supports professional hair restoration treatments by strengthening hair follicles and supporting scalp health. This medical device helps practitioners prepare and deliver a concentrated PRP solution enriched with biotin as part of clinical hair restoration protocols.
By isolating and concentrating platelets from the patient’s blood, the PRP Tube with Biotin enables the delivery of growth factors and nutrients directly into the scalp. The addition of Biotin aids in improving the overall quality of the hair, making it stronger, healthier, and more resilient.
- To stimulate hair growth in patients experiencing hair thinning, androgenic alopecia, or other forms of hair loss.
- To strengthen existing hair and improve the overall health of hair follicles.
- To support post-procedural hair regrowth following medical or cosmetic hair treatments.
- To enhance the effectiveness of microneedling or injection-based hair restoration therapies.
Device Overview (Clinical Reference)
The PRP Tube with Biotin serves as a specialized medical device for professional hair restoration treatments. Practitioners use the tube to prepare Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) from a patient’s blood, with biotin incorporated to support hair restoration protocols. Biotin is well-known for its role in promoting healthier, stronger hair, making it suitable for use in professional hair restoration procedures.
Each sterile, vacuum-sealed tube contains an anticoagulant and separation gel that ensure the precise separation of blood components. In addition to PRP, the tube is pre-filled with 0.5 ml of Biotin, which is intended to support hair follicle health and overall scalp condition as part of PRP preparation.
Device Characteristics:
- Capacity: 10/12 ml total volume.
- Biotin Additive: Contains 0.5 mL of Biotin (Vitamin B7) for integration into PRP preparation.
- Sterile Separation Gel: Supports controlled separation of blood components during centrifugation.
- Anticoagulant: Ensures that blood does not clot during the centrifugation process, maintaining the integrity of the PRP.
Intended Use:
The PRP Tube with Biotin supports professional hair restoration procedures, including protocols for hair thinning and androgenic alopecia. Practitioners use it alongside microneedling or direct scalp injection to deliver concentrated PRP and biotin to the hair follicles as part of clinical PRP preparation.
Clinical Considerations:
✨ Supports standardized PRP preparation for hair restoration procedures.
✨ Used in clinical protocols targeting hair follicle activity.
✨ Intended for use alongside PRP protocols focused on scalp and follicle support.
✨ Commonly used in PRP-based scalp treatment workflows.
NOTE:
• For single-patient use only. After use, dispose of the blood collection tube according to the facility’s biohazard waste disposal protocol.
• Process the blood collection tube in a centrifuge within six (6) minutes after blood draw.
• Use the prepared PRP within four (4) hours after blood draw.
STORAGE
Store tubes at 4-40°C (39-104°F). Do not freeze.
CAUTION
- PRP must be used on the same patient from which blood was drawn.
- Do not use blood collection tube if any foreign matter is visible.
- Do not use blood collection tubes that are, or appear to be, cracked or damaged.
- Do not use blood collection tube after expiration date.
- Do not re-sterilize or attempt to clean the blood collection tubes.
- The PRP must be used within 4 (four) hours after drawing blood.
- Practice Universal Precautions to protect from blood spatter and blood leak age to minimize the potential exposure to blood borne pathogens.
- Handle all biologic samples and blood collection devices per the procedures established by facility of use.
- Appropriate medical attention is required in the event of any exposure to biologic samples.
- Under-filled tubes may result in poor product performance. It is recommended to discard an under-filled tube and re-draw blood into a second tube.
